Will the Current Internet Top Species Become Extinct By 2020?

The rate at which the internet continues to affect our lives really amazes me. Ten years ago, nobody would have predicted the kind of internet advancement and growth we experience today. Now internet is part of us, we cannot function optimally without it, can we? A lot of money has been and is being made online, really good money. At the same time a lot of money has been lost on the internet.
But it is not the money-making or money-losing that surprises me most about the internet. No. It is the rate at which change happens! Today Google dominates the search engine, and it seems it will do for sometimes. But I have come to reach one conclusion- that the net is a fast-moving target. That means what you have today could be totally or almost totally irrelevant tomorrow.
Follow up:
Who would have thought blogs would generate the heat they do today? The now popular web 2.0 marketing was unknown some years back. Something start so small and grow so HUGE in few years! I wonder what will be generating the heat in 2020.Will it be called something like ‘brooging’? Is it possible that it is already cooking by now?
Which search engine will be calling the shot in 2020? Where will be Google, Yahoo and Bing? I also wonder how 2020 spammers will be like. It will also be interesting to know whether Search Engine Optimization will be relevant by then. Some questions are really amazing and mind provoking- like what will determine the most suitable search engine by 2020?
What about social networking sites. Will there be something in history book reading “FaceBook was one of the best “. Which will it be in the next 10 years? And which features will drive the current networking sites to extinction?
It is totally impossible to predict who will be who by 2020, but one thing is sure to happen- we will have a totally new face of big fish by then. Evolution and extinction of some internet species is really what keeps the internet really interesting and unprecedented, doesn't it?
The big question is: how will the top internet species of 2020 affect your live and business?
