A few years ago Jeanne Jones noticed that the local fleet of emergency vehicles was in pretty bad shape so she decided to start the red rose society which raises money for emergency vehicles. The event gains the funding needed for the emergency fleets by hosting events in which businesses and philanthropists donate money and possibly cars to Red Cross of San Diego/Imperial Counties to help volunteers provide assistance to those in need.
